With the 4-port PCI Express USB 3.0 card Pexusb3S44V you can add four dedicated 5 GBIT/S-USB 3.0 ports to a PCIe X4-compatible PC. This architecture with independent ports improves the USB 3.0 output by transferring data to four individual channels to the computer so that the file transmission takes place faster.
If several devices are connected, the maximum bandwidth for conventional single bus USB 3.0- Cards distributed over all ports. By using four host controller chipsets, each port is operated on a separate, independent transmission channel. By assigning up to 5 GBIT/s to each USB port, performance bottlenecks are reduced and the overall available bandwidth is effectively quadrupled to 20 Gbit/s. Improved performance with UASP
UASP is supported in Windows 8, 8.1, Server 2012 and Linux Kernel 2.6.37 or higher. In tests, UASP showed up to 70 % higher reading speed and 40 % higher writing speed compared to a conventional USB 3.0 in the case of peak performance.
In the test, Uasp also showed an 80 % reduction in the need for processor resources.
