With the 2-port PCI Express USB 3.0 card PexusB3S24 you can add two USB 3.0 ports to a PCI express-capable computer system. With optional SATA power connection to connect the system's power supply and provide up to 900 MA electricity via port for USB 3.0-powered devices (500 mA for USB 2.0). This USB 3.0 controller in combination with a [%group id = "114" text = "Uasp-capable housing" Append_Qs = "filter_uasp_yn = yes"%] up to 70%faster than a conventional USB 3.0 (Note: UASP is not supported by all operating systems). Improved performance with UASP
UASP is supported in Windows 8, 8.1, Server 2012 and Linux Kernel 2.6.37 or higher. In tests, UASP showed up to 70 % higher reading speed and 40 % higher writing speed compared to a conventional USB 3.0 in the case of peak performance.
In the test, Uasp also showed an 80 % reduction in the need for processor resources.
Test results were obtained with an Intel Ivy Bridge system, USB 3.0 additions from Startech.com, a UASP-capable Startech.com case and a SATA III Solid State Drive.
