The OpticFilm 8200i SE is the further development of the professional high-end film scanner OpticFilm 7600i SE. With its high-end SilverFast SE Plus 8 software, the film scanner is aimed directly at photographers and professionals as well as ambitious photo amateurs. The OpticFilm 8200i SE comes with a number of useful features. A special infrared channel iSRD (Infrared Smart Removal of Defects) allows fully automatic detection of dust particles, scratches and other damage on the original. In combination with the professional image processing software SilverFast SE Plus 8, the removal of image defects is even easier and much more accurate thanks to the Workflow Pilot. The Pilot guides the user through the individual correction steps and provides helpful instructions when using the software. Thanks to the preview mode, corrections and changes can already be made visible in the preview. Compared to purely software-based solutions, the iSRD solution is characterized by an unrivaled high hit rate. In addition, the unique multi-exposure technology not only suppresses image noise, but also greatly improves the dynamic range of the image. So even the smallest image details come to the fore.

Long-life technology and functional technology
The LED technology of the OpticFilm 8200i SE enables optimal and uniform illumination for even better scanning results. In addition, the service life of the LED light unit is far longer than that of comparable light sources. With the two function keys "IntelliScan " and "QuickScan " a fast and convenient operation is allowed.

WorkflowPilot
The WorkflowPilot is an assistant tool that guides the user of the SilverFast 8 software in the correct order through all processing steps that are important for the individual scan.

Dust and scratch removal
Dust and scratch removal with infrared technology iSRD is hardware-based, unlike conventional methods. The OpticFilm 8200i SE uses a separate infrared channel to detect defects (dust and scratches) on the original. Infrared technology eliminates the need for manual retouching, as defects are automatically detected and removed.

Multi-Exposure
Multi-Exposure captures the full dynamic range of the original by scanning multiple times with different exposure parameters. This not only removes image noise, but also increases the dynamic range of the hardware. At the same time, detail richness of very bright or dark image segments is significantly increased.

Preview concept
With the real-time preview, adjustments and settings made can be checked directly in terms of the result. Thus any Änderung becomes immediately visible.

Multi-tasking
SilverFast software enables an efficient workflow. While the first scan is being read, the user can already define the configurations for the second scan.
