With this adapter, you are able to connect more recent Thunderbolt 3-computers based on Windows to older Thunderbolt devices. This includes z. B. external hard drives, Thunderbolt screens and older Thunderbolt-capable Mac computers. The newer Thunderbolt 3 computers include the latest models from Dell Precision and Dell Xps.
Since this adapter is downwards, you can connect it to Thunderbolt devices of the first generation at a speed of 10 GB /s. With Thunderbolt 2 devices you can carry out connections that work at a speed of 20 GB/s. The adapter meets all requirements with regard to bidirectional data transmissions and simultaneous power supply for devices operated via bus.
