Canon is with its more than 190,000 employees into one of the most famous and largest manufacturers of printers, scanners, copiers and cameras. The company was founded in 1937 in Japan, where it has still its headquarters in Tokyo.
In 1983 with the Canon V20 develops a home computer and put on the market. Today, however, Canon is no longer active in this area and focuses entirely on the actual operations. With the acquisition of the Dutch company Océ ( completion in November 2009), the market share
was increased again to strengthen their own position.
