New standards in the entry-level segment
With the Thin Client D220, IGEL offers an energy and space saving solution for all basic applications and multimedia tasks. Provide convenient desktop handling within your organization and benefit from Dualview support at all times. The acquisition of the D220 can be worthwhile for many companies, because visually the client is inconspicuous and compact, but in terms of performance it has a lot to offer.
Inside the IGEL Thin Client D220 is an Intel Atom E3815 CPU with 1.46 GHz and 512 KB cache. There are also 2 GB of DDR3L memory, 2 GB of flash memory for the operating system and an Intel HD Graphics graphics unit. The latter supports the connection of up to two monitors via DVI, so you can easily use a modern working environment.
In addition to the two DVI ports for screens, the IGEL Thin Client D220 has LAN Gigabit Ethernet, as well as three USB 2.0 ports and a USB 3.0 port ready. The latter are of course used for input devices and storage media, as well as a variety of other accessories that you want to use in the workplace. Headphones, microphones and loudspeakers can of course be connected to the Thin Client in the same way.
Since the IGEL Thin Client D220 has no moving parts, it generates almost no noise in everyday life, thus ensuring a comfortable working environment. At the same time it is more fail-safe and generates only a minimum of waste heat. The outstanding price-performance ratio makes the thin client an ideal investment.
As operating system, IGEL uses the Linux v5 from its own house for its Thin Client D220. In addition, you can use the manufacturer's Universal Management Suite for administration. A defective or retired thin client can be replaced within minutes, which greatly reduces downtime. It also takes less time to configure and set up, further reducing the workload for your administrators.
Energy efficiency and safety
Other advantages of the IGEL Thin Client D220 include the low power consumption of just 5 watts. In sleep mode, it drops again to 1 watt, which is only a fraction compared to a conventional desktop PC. So whether you want to extend an existing thin client environment or build a new one, often the running costs can be significantly reduced.
If you work with a Terminal Server and use the IGEL Thin Client D220 as an access device, you will also gain increased security. Finally, the data remains centrally on the server and is not stored on the client. Ultimately, this also facilitates the preparation of data backups.
