Blade Networks

The manufacturer BLADE Network Technologies (often called BLADE Networks for short) was primarily known for switches used in the field of blade and storage servers. The company was founded in 2006 by Garnett and Helfrich Capital. In addition to individual RackSwitch models, BLADE Networks produced various switch modules for the IBM, HP, NEC and Verari blade arrays. For the administration, the manufacturer provided BLADEHarmony. The software offered several ways to integrate systems, software and services. However, in 2010 BLADE Networks became part of IBM. When Lenovo took over the IBM server division in 2014, BLADE was also included, which is why the brand is now part of Lenovo.
