2560 x 1600 pixels
The resolution 2560 x 1600 pixels is also WQXGA (Wide Quad Extended Graphics Array) and is an extension to QXGA resolution. As the name suggests, a wide-screen format is used, whereby the resolution is also suitable for many modern flat screens.
With a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, you get four times as many pixels displayed as in WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) would be the case. The 16:10 aspect ratio is suitable in particular for HDTV content, so you do not just look at pictures in detail, but can also enjoy convenient Movies and Videos.
But not only monitors and displays support the 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, with many home theater projectors this is since 2010 used. We also offer many graphics cards for notebooks and desktop PCs, enabling this screen resolution. This whilst providing a simple way to upgrade is to use a highly detailed display, if it has not been supported.
The Nexus 10 of Google, is the first tablet for home users, which with 2560 has the WXQGA Resolution 1600 pixels. Various other devices from Apple, Samsung and Gigaset followed afterwards and the Apple MacBook Pro 13 inch used in some variants this resolution also.
